MOBILE OUTBOARD MECHANIC

COVID-19 Temporary Procedures

Cairns Outboard Service is open for business offering service and repairs to the recreational light marine industry. Unfortunately, due to current social distancing and hygiene considerations I am unable to offer mobile services without the risk of transmitting the virus to and from my customers.

Initially, all service and repairs will be done at my workshop. Customers will need to reverse their vessel into the workshop, and I will remove the trailer from their vehicle without the need for customers to leave their vehicle. I will then wash the vessel including outboard, controls, jockey wheel and trailer coupling. This will allow me to work on the vessel without the threat of the virus being on vessel surfaces. There will be no extra charge for this extra work required for a safe work environment.

Upon vessel pick-up it is advised to either wash the vessel again or to leave it untouched for several days.

I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and hope to be able to offer the full personalised service that Cairns Outboard Service is known for when it is again safe to do so.
